- About Me
I am full blood Lakhota Sioux. I was born on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. The only living relative I had left when I was around 6 months old was my paternal grandfather but D. H. S. felt he was to old and would end up teaching me to be a wild heathen. As he was one of the original Sioux that was placed on the reservation back in 1891 or 1892. The dates per my grandfathers story telling does not quite follow the colander years. Either that, or I was not following exactly how he was telling it. I was taken as was common back in this times by the D. H. S. and removed from the reservation and sent out of state to be adopted by white people. Which I never understood. Native Americans were nearly hated as much as African Americans. I could not sit at the front of the bus, but had to sit at the back all the rules that aped to the African Americans also applied to native Americans but with one difference. Even after the African Americans were accepted, the native Americans still were not. It was not cool one bit to be native American I. the 60's or 70's. The only time I was ever accepted and people were actually excited that I was full blooded Lakhota Sioux and could make a bow and arrows and make beadwork was when I moved to Australia. There the Sheila's were extremely friendly and throwing themselves at an authentic real life full blooded Indian from America. I was in heaven and never wanted to lead e!
